09-26-2016 --> MGW Premium, Nano and Pico TS Encoders Critical Firmware Update

VITEC is pleased to announce the release of new major firmware and software update for its Portable H.264 Encoding and Streaming appliances.

The release contains critical hot-fixes, security enhancements and new features including new streaming protocols, Error Correction technology, Real-time image cropping and more.
The version is designed for the following products:

-    MGW Premium Encoder Version 2.6.18 (upgrades existing version 1.4.x.x or higher)
-    MGW Nano Encoder Version 2.6.18 (upgrades existing version 1.4.x.x or higher)
-    MGW Nano TOUGH Encoder Version 2.6.18 (upgrades existing version 1.4.x.x or higher)
-    MGW Pico Encoder Version 2.1.3 (upgrades existing version 1.0.x.x or higher)

The new version is provided at no charge to all users who purchased MGW Appliances directly from VITEC or from a VITEC’s approved Channel Partner / Reseller.

IMPORTANT: The update procedure takes up to 45 minutes per appliance and requires you to DELETE all previously saved channel configurations prior to starting the update process. Network settings and Login credentials will not change once upgrade is complete. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE UNIT'S POWER OR RESTART IT UNTIL UPDATE PROCESS COMPLETES. Review full upgrade instructions in the supplied User Manual which is part of the upgrade kit.
